President (8th): Hey Hornets! My name is Rakshana Srinivas, and this year’s 8th Grade ASB President! I’m super excited to get to know all of you and help make this year fun, spirited, and memorable. This is my second year in ASB—I served as a 7th Grade Officer last year, and this year I’m part of the Spirit Commission. We’ll be organizing fun Spirit Days and Noon Activities, so get ready to show off your Horner pride! A little about me: I love making art, playing badminton, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. I’m looking forward to an unforgettable year!
Vice President (8th) : Hey Hornets I’m Anik Prakash and I’m excited to be your ASB Vice President for the 2025-2026 school year! My main goal this year is to increase interaction with the student body by creating events in which we can increase participation. Outside of ASB, I enjoy listening to music, playing piano and guitar, and playing basketball. Looking forward to meeting you all and creating a school year full of fun and memories! Go Hornets!
Treasurer (8th): Hi Hornets!! I’m Krisha Shah, the 8th grade Treasurer this year, and I’m proud to be part of the All-Purpose commission! Outside of school, a few of my hobbies include volleyball, reading, listening to music, and traveling! My love for travel has grown throughout the years as I’ve explored breathtaking destinations such as Greece, Norway, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, and more! Along with that, I play volleyball for Citybeach and enjoy it immensely! Playing volleyball, a team sport, has taught me so much about encouraging others, strategizing, communicating, teamwork, and focus. Furthermore, being in ASB has been something I’ve wanted for a while, especially after noticing a few things around school that I think could be improved or done differently. As a student like any other, I know that our school isn’t perfect and could be improved and enhanced. Being in leadership would allow me to have the influence to help address those issues and make our school a better place! I can’t wait for an amazing school year this year! Yay Hornets!!
Secretary (8th) : Hey Hornets!! I am this year’s 8th grade Secretary, Ruby Kwok - also in the All-Purpose commission! Some of my hobbies are dance, theater, and volleyball. I have been dedicated to Bollywood dance since I was around two years old and I have continued my commitment to this company to the present day. I am now a company dancer, working on intense techniques and unique styles of dance. Along with Bollywood dance, I have also enjoyed doing musical theater since the age of ten. After years of doing multiple mini musicals, summer camps, and extra classes in this company, I did my first mainstage show almost a year ago. Following theater and dance, I play volleyball as a side sport. I joined a team and learned many skills during the season. Playing a team sport is important to experience because I got to learn about communication, trust, and resilience. When I’m not involved in my hobbies, I’m hanging out with my friends or family. My family and I love to go on exciting vacations including Europe, China, Mexico, London, DisneyWorld’ and more! Aside from that, as a student in Horner, I’d love to make our school a better place that's more exciting and fun for everyone! Personally, I’m happy when I get to go to school and know that there’s a fun event or spirit day since it’s something to look forward to! So that is why I’m thrilled to be a part of the class that’s behind these things. Let’s make this a great year, Hornets!
7th Grade President: My name is Arush Shankar and I am the 7th Grade President this year at Horner. I am also in the All-Purpose commission. I love helping others and being a part of the community and its leadership. Outside of school, I enjoy doing art, playing the piano, and playing and watching sports, mainly baseball. I play for a travel baseball team called Trosky, and I really love it there. My favorite pro sports teams are the San Francisco Giants as well as the Las Vegas Raiders. I always want to listen to others’ ideas and thoughts, as they are extremely valuable to me. Something that I can guarantee is to be friendly to others and to listen to everyone’s point of view. No matter what, I know that this year is going to be incredible. Go Hornets! :D
7th grade Vice-President: Whats up Hornets! My name is Varad Hosakere and I am your 7th Grade Vice President at Horner for the 25-26 school year. I am a part of the Fundraising Commission! In addition, I am also the school representative for SurfBoardE where I am responsible for being the liaison between The FUSD Board of Education and Horner. I am an art lover, drummer, and I enjoy reading. I swim competitively for Milpitas Aquatics Club and ski for the Sierra at Tahoe Ski Team. I’m strongest when it comes to focus, determination, and resilience. I find that it’s most important to listen to the ideas and thoughts of my fellow peers at Horner in order to make our school a safe and fun learning environment. I am always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone. I’m all for supporting and helping out the Horner community, and greatly look forward to the coming year in ASB! Go Hornets!
7th Grade Officer: Hey Hornets! My name is Akash Rao and I am your 7th grade officer and part of the Outreach Commission (Also the best commission). I look forward to working with the community and ASB to help bring awesome events to Horner. Additionally, I love to listen to others' ideas, so I will make sure that you will be heard. Some of my hobbies are Kung Fu, Video Games, and most importantly, doom scrolling. Some of my best strengths are coordination, social skills, and being on task. I also look forward to making the best reels on Instagram for you to enjoy, and also publicizing all the events, so that no one will miss out. I mostly listen in class, but sometimes I chip in ideas. I hope that we have an amazing year with no troubles. Bye Hornets!
